استضافت الجمعية الأردنية الأمريكية
احتفالية وطنية مميزة بمناسبة حلول شهر رمضان المبارك، تزامنًا مع موسم الصوم المقدس.
وقد عكست الفعالية عمق التجربة الأردنية الراسخة في التعايش والاحترام المتبادل، وجسّدت بصورة عملية قيم "رسالة عمّان "ومبادئها الإنسانية الخالدة.
وأكد اللقاء الرؤية الأردنية الثابتة، بقيادة الهاشميين، في ترسيخ الوحدة الوطنية وثقافة العيش المشترك، إلى جانب الدور التاريخي المتواصل في رعاية وحماية المقدسات الإسلامية والمسيحية
وسادت أجواء الأمسية مشاعر الفخر بالهوية الأردنية والانسجام اللافت بين أبناء الجالية الأردنية الأمريكية بمختلف خلفياتهم، في صورة عكست نسيجًا وطنيًا متماسكًا يؤكد أن الانتماء للأردن يتجاوز حدود الجغرافيا، وأن الهوية الوطنية تبقى راسخة في القلوب مهما ابتعدت المسافات.
وشهدت الاحتفالية حضور شخصيات عامة وقيادات مجتمعية، إلى جانب ممثلين عن مستويات سياسية رفيعة في الولايات المتحدة، من بينهم عضو في مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي، الذين أعربوا عن تقديرهم للنموذج الأردني الفريد في التلاحم المجتمعي والتعايش الديني، وأشادوا بالدور الإيجابي والبنّاء الذي تؤديه الجالية الأردنية الأمريكية في المجتمع الأمريكي.
وفي كلمته، أكد رئيس الجمعية السيد عاهد مصاروة أن الجالية الأردنية في ميشيغن تمثل صورة مشرقة للأردن وقيمه الأصيلة مع تمسكها بهويتها الوطنية وولائها العميق للأردن وقيادته الهاشمية.
وأضاف أن مثل هذه المناسبات الوطنية والإنسانية توجّه رسالة واضحة للعالم بأن الأردن كان وسيبقى نموذجًا راسخًا في احترام التنوع الديني والثقافي، وأن وحدة الأردنيين في الداخل والخارج تشكل ركيزة أساسية في تعزيز صورة الدولة الأردنية وقيمها النبيلة.
وقال المصاروة:
“نلتقي اليوم، كما التقينا سابقًا في موسم الأعياد الميلادية، لنؤكد رسالة الأردن الخالدة — رسالة عمّان — القائمة على الاحترام المتبادل والعيش المشترك. لقد نشأنا والمسجد إلى جانب الكنيسة، يتجاوران في الجدار ويتكاملان في المعنى. سمعنا التنوع ولم نسمع الانقسام. هذه ليست قصة استثنائية، بل هي قصة الأردن — مهد الحضارات والرسالات، وأرض المعمودية، ووطن الحرية والعيش المشترك.”
وفي رسالة عبّرت عن عمق الهوية والانتماء، أكد عضو الهيئة الإدارية السيد باسم الخطيب، الذي حضر مرتديًا الزي الأردني التقليدي، أن الوجود الأردني في المهجر يبقى حيًا في القلوب والوجدان، وأن تنوع الجالية مصدر قوة وغنى، يجسّد الأخوة والوحدة الحقيقية بين الأردنيين بمختلف خلفياتهم.
وتخللت الاحتفالية مسابقات ثقافية وتفاعلية ركزت على جغرافية الأردن وتاريخه وتراثه الوطني، بهدف تعزيز الوعي الوطني والاستدامة الثقافية لدى الأجيال الشابة، إلى جانب توزيع هدايا رمزية أدخلت الفرح إلى قلوب الأطفال والشباب.
وفي هذا السياق، دعت الجمعية المشاركين للاستعداد للاحتفالية الوطنية الكبرى بمناسبة عيد الاستقلال الأردني، والمقرر إقامتها في 30 أيار، بالشراكة مع مجلس الأعمال الأردني الأمريكي وجمعية المرأة الأردنية الأمريكية.
وأكد نائب رئيس الجمعية السيد ليث فاخوري أهمية هذه المناسبة الوطنية الجامعة، فيما دعت السيدة هيلدا قاقيش، مسؤولة التواصل الاجتماعي في جمعية المرأة الأردنية الأمريكية، العائلات إلى تسجيل أبنائهم في برنامج المنح الدراسية الذي تديره الجمعية، على أن يتم توزيع المنح خلال احتفالية عيد الاستقلال.
واختُتمت الاحتفالية بالدعاء بأن يحفظ الله الأردن وقيادته الهاشمية بقيادة جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني ابن الحسين، وأن يديم على الأردن وأبنائه نعمة الأمن والوحدة، وعلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية الاستقرار والسلام — في مشهد جسّد الأردن رسالةً ووطنًا يتجاوز حدود الجغرافيا ليبقى حيًا في قلوب أبنائه أينما كانوا.
The Jordanian American Community Association Embodies Jordan’s Timeless Message in a Unifying Ramadan & Lenten National Celebration
The Jordanian American Community Association (JACA) hosted a distinguished national celebration on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, coinciding with the Lenten holy season.
The event reflected the depth of Jordan’s longstanding tradition of coexistence and mutual respect and practically embodied the values of the Amman Message and its enduring humanitarian principles.
The gathering reaffirmed Jordan’s steadfast vision, led by the Hashemite leadership, in promoting national unity and a culture of shared living, as well as its historic and continuous role in custidianship Islamic and Christian holy sites
The evening was marked by pride in Jordanian identity and remarkable harmony among members , the atmosphere reflected a cohesive national fabric, affirming that belonging to Jordan transcends geography and that national identity remains deeply rooted in the heart regardless of distance.
The celebration was attended by prominent public figures, community leaders, and representatives from high levels of political leadership in the United States, including member of the U.S. Senate, who expressed appreciation for Jordan’s unique model of social cohesion and interfaith coexistence.
In his address, Association President Mr. Ahead Masarweh affirmed that the Jordanian community in Michigan represents a bright image of Jordan and its authentic values — an active and contributing community that serves American society while maintaining its national identity
He added that such national and humanitarian occasions send a clear message to the world that Jordan has been and will remain a steadfast model of respect for religious and cultural diversity, and that unity among Jordanians at home and abroad is a cornerstone in strengthening the image of the Jordanian state and its noble values.
Masarweh stated: “We gather today, as we have gathered before at Christmastime , to reaffirm Jordan’s timeless message — the Amman Message — founded on mutual respect and coexistence. We grew up with the mosque beside the church, sharing walls and complementing meaning. We heard diversity without hearing division. This is not an exceptional story; it is the story of Jordan — the cradle of civilizations and messages, the land of Baptism, and the homeland of freedom and shared living.”
In a message reflecting deep identity and belonging, Board Member Mr. Bassem Al-Khatib, who attended wearing traditional Jordanian attire, emphasized that the Jordanian presence abroad remains alive in the hearts and spirit, and that the diversity of the community is a source of strength and richness, embodying true brotherhood and unity among Jordanians of all backgrounds.
The event also featured cultural and interactive competitions focused on Jordan’s geography, history, and national heritage, aimed at strengthening national awareness and cultural sustainability among younger generations. Symbolic gifts were distributed, bringing joy especially to children and youth.
In this context, the Association encouraged participants to prepare for the major national celebration of Jordan’s Independence Day, scheduled for May 30, in partnership with the Jordanian American Business Council (JABC) and the American Jordanian Women Association(AJWA)
Vice President Mr. Laith Fakhouri highlighted the importance of this national occasion, while Ms. Hilda Kakish , Community Outreach Chair of AJWA invited families to register their children in the scholarship program administered by the American Jordanian Women Association, with awards to be presented during the Independence Day celebration.
The celebration concluded with prayers for the continued protection of Jordan and its Hashemite leadership under His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, and for lasting security and unity for Jordan and its people, as well as peace and stability for the United States of America.
